Our music programs thrive because of the care, time, and energy shared by parents, guardians, and supporters. Every volunteer makes a difference, and even small contributions help create meaningful opportunities for our band and choir students. Explore the roles below and join us in strengthening our music community.

Parent Volunteer Opportunities
Grant Writer
Assist our program by researching and preparing small grants to support music education.
The Grant Writer plays a vital role in expanding financial opportunities for our band and choir programs. Even small grants can help fund instruments, scholarships, repairs, and enrichment experiences.
What You'll Do:
Identify potential grants from community, corporate, and arts organizations (we have a list of previous opportunities)
Draft and submit short applications (templates provided)
Collaborate with directors and Executive Committee to gather program details
Track deadlines, submission status, and award results
Time Commitment:
Flexible and completely remote! Perfect for that volunteer who prefers to work behind-the-scenes and independently.
Skills Needed:
Writing ability, attention to detail, and willingness to learn. No grant-writing experience required.

Spring Concert Volunteers Band and Choir
Volunteer at concerts to earn $15 toward your Panther Points account while helping welcome guests and support the music program.
Students can earn fundraising credit by volunteering at band and choir concerts. For each 40-minute shift completed, a donation will be added to your Panther Points account, which can be used toward trips and music-related expenses.
Important Guidelines
Please sign up for a concert where you are not performing
Example: If you are in Symphonic Band, choose Jazz, Varsity, Choir, or Middle School concertsBe engaged, welcoming, and respectful to all guests
Cell phone use is not allowed during your shift
A Booster Board member will collect materials at the end of your shift.

Silent Auction
Help support our Silent Auction and Swing Dance by donating items, creating baskets, or assisting with planning and outreach.
We are seeking parent volunteers to help support our Silent Auction, which will take place in conjunction with the Swing Dance on March 28. The online auction will open three days prior, with all items displayed during the event.
There are many ways to get involved—whether you have time to volunteer, items to donate, or connections to share.

Spring Concert Supervisors - Band and Choir
Help support students working the donation tables at concerts.
Concert Supervisors play a key part in helping our performances run smoothly. You’ll assist the student volunteers who work at the donation tables, making sure they have everything they need and that both entrances are supervised.
What You’ll Do
Arrive by 6:15 PM to assist with setup.
Pick up signs, cash box, and materials (provided by the Executive Board or committee members).
Get printed programs from the directors.
Meet student volunteers at the donation table, help them get organized, and supervise as needed.
If there are enough volunteers, place students at both entrances and ensure the doors are unlocked.
If possible, help count donations at the end (two adults required; students may assist).
End-of-Concert Tasks
At the start of the performance, collect the donation box and signs (leave programs available at the tables).
After the concert, return the money and materials to the safe.
